  • Type ‘control’ inside the blank area, beside the label ‘Open:’ and tap on the ‘OK’ button.

Using Safe Mode to Delete the Newly Installed Drivers

  • First, tap on ‘Windows and I’ keys to launch ‘Windows Settings’.
  • A variety of settings categories will appear. Choose the one that says ‘Update & Security’.
  • A new page will come up. Go to the left pane and choose the ‘Recovery’ option.

The SFC or System File Checker is the built-in tool within the Windows OS that scans the computer for any corrupt system files and replaces them with the correct one.

  • Inside the new window, type in the following command “sfc /scannow” and press the ‘Enter’ button to execute it.
  • After that, type in the following command and press the ‘Enter’ button after each of them: “dism /online /clean-image /scanhealth”, “dism /online /clean-image / restorehealth”.
  • Finally, close the ‘Command Prompt’ window and restart the computer to save the changes and fix the problem.

Update All the Device Driver

If the drivers get corrupted, then you need to update all the device drivers. For that to happen, follow the steps underneath:

  • First, press ‘Windows + X’ keys simultaneously. Now, the ‘Options Menu’ to locate and then choose the option ‘Device Manager’. 
  • A new window, Device Manager will come up. There you will get a list of device categories. Choose the initial device category and double-click on it.
  • Next, from that sublist, right-click on the first driver and choose the ‘Update driver’ option. 
  • You will get two options, choose the first one that says ‘Search automatically for updated driver software’.
