Method 1 – Re-register ExplorerFrame.dll file

This is the first method that we are going to explain. In this step, at first, you have to open Command Prompt as administrator. To do this, you need to select the Start menu option and type “cmd” in the search box. Now, find the Command Prompt(Admin) from the menu and click on it. When the Command Prompt will open, then you should copy and paste the following command and hit the Enter button to run it.

regsvr32 ExplorerFrame.dll”

After that, it can search for all .dll files and with “regsvr” command. It can re-register them. Finally, you have to reboot your computer and check the problem is solved or not.

Method 2 – Use Component Services

This is another simple process that you can try if the previous method fails. Generally, you can run Component Services through the Run dialog box. So, follow the steps below carefully to eliminate the class not registered Windows 10 error using this method:

  1. At first, you have to press Windows and the R key at the same time to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Now in the run box, type “dcomcnfg” and hit the Enter key on your keyboard to run it.
  3. Then the component service window will open.

Now, in the Component Services window, you have to go to the Component Services and then, select the Computers option and My Computer respectively. After that, double click DCOM Config. Here, you can get a few warning messages. So, as soon as you get it, click Yes option to continue. Once you are done with the process, you need to close the Component Services and reboot your computer. In this way, you can solve this issue on your Windows 10.

Method 3 – Restart explorer.exe

If the previous method fails to fix the issue, then you need to try this method. In this step, at first, you have to start the Task Manager and then, select the Details tab. Now, you have to find the explorer.exe and right-click on it. After that, you need to select the End Task option from the menu. Afterward,  in Task Manager you have to go to File and then, select Run new task option. Then the “create new task window” will be displayed on the screen. Now, you have to type explorer and hit the Enter key on your keyboard. After doing the above steps, the problem must be corrected. If not, then it is advised to move on to the next step.

Method 4 – Run SFC or System File Checker

This is another common method to solve the class not registered Windows 10 problem. You can execute this process by using the Command Prompt. In this step, you have to Press Windows Key and the X. Then open the Command Prompt (Admin) option. Now follow the steps below.

  1. In the command prompt section, type sfc /scannow and hit the Enter key.
  2. After that, it starts scanning and detecting the error.

When the scanning process is done, then you have to restart the computer and check the issue still exists or not.

Method 5 – Run DISM

If you are still getting the error, then you must run DISM by using the Command Prompt. This is a very simple method, you just try to follow the steps below.

  1. At first, you have to open the Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. In the command prompt section, copy and paste the following command and then hit the  Enter after each command. The commands are,

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Once you are done with the above steps, you just need to restart your computer to check the changes and see if the class not registered Windows 10 is solved properly or not.

Method 6 – Start Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service

If the previous method fails to solve the issue, then you can try this method also. In some cases, if you start the Internet Explorer ETW collector service, then you can fix this error. In this step, you have to press the Windows and the R key simultaneously to open the Run dialog box.

  1. Now, in this box, type “services.msc” and press the Enter button to open Windows services.
  2. After that, you have to scroll down and find the Internet Explorer ETW Collector Service option.
  3. Now, right-click on it and choose the Properties option.
  4. Then, you have to make sure its startup type is configured to Automatic.
  5. After that, right-click on it and you have to select the Start option.

Method 7 – Re-Register Windows Store Apps

To do this method, you need to take the help of PowerShell. The process is simple and effective. In this step, at first, you have to select the Start button and type PowerShell in the Windows search bar.

  1. Then, right-click on it and choose the Run as administrator option.
  2. Now, you have to type the following command in the PowerShell and hit the Enter on your keyboard.

et-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

  1. After that, Windows Store apps must be re-registered.

Finally, you need to restart your computer and see if the class not registered Windows 10 error is solved or not.

Method 8 – Remove Microsoft as the Default Browser

This is another tricky method that you should try. In this step, firstly you have to navigate to the Settings option and the,n select System to open the Default apps. Now, under Web browser, you need to change Microsoft Edge to Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. Finally, restart your computer and check the problem is solved or not.

Method 9 – Create a New User Account

This is the last method that you can try. At first, you have to go to the Settings option and then, click Accounts. After that, in the left-hand menu, select the Family & other people tab and then, under the Other People option, click Add someone else to this PC. Now, in the bottom, you have to select “I don’t have this person’s sign-in information”. Then, choose “Add a user without a Microsoft account.” Once you are done with the process, type the username and give a password for the new account. At last,  select the Next option to open a new account.
